Local history walks

A series of five walks have been described in the Bowburn Interchange, a community newspaper produced by Bowburn Village Celebration (BVC).

The articles are reproduced here with BVC’s permission. Please see links at the bottom of this page.

For one more extended walk starting and finishing at Bowburn, see Bill Gallon’s walk.

An on-line version of the definitive map of rights of way is also strongly recommended. See http://www.durham.gov.uk/definitivemap
